The Intensive American English Institute (IAEI) is a full-service English language school. Since 1987, we have helped thousands of people adjust to life in the USA, gain confidence in their English skills, excel on academic entrance exams (TOEFL, GRE, GMAT), and succeed in top American universities and businesses. IAEI is a division of the House of Tutors Learning Centers, which is fully accredited by ACCET (Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training).
We are located in Austin, Texas, the Live Music Capital of the World, and are fully accredited and authorized by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to issue I-20s (applications for student visas) to students applying for F-1 visas. Other advantages:

Your first step to education in the USA!
Academic Core: The reading, writing, grammar and conversation skills you need for TOEFL and university success. This program fulfills the U.S. legal requirements for F-1 visa students, as it provides 18 hours of intensive instruction, per week.
Independent Study: Create your own flexible schedule! Independent study is available for students whose schedules, visa requirements, or study interests do not fit the regular course schedule. (This option does meet F-1 visa requirements.) House of Tutors also provides specialized classes for GMAT, GRE, LSAT, SAT, and other college / university entrance exams!

Homestays: IAEI has many connections with Austin families who offer homestays to international students. Homestay living offers a structured, family environment, meals, laundry facilities, private furnished bedrooms, and more. Homestays are ideal for students who wish to stay with an American family, and experience American culture firsthand. These arrangements also allow for rapid English learning!
Apartments and Dormitories: IAEI is located two blocks from the University of Texas campus and the many dormitories and apartments serving the university community. Dormitories are mainly for students, and have group activities, cafeterias and quiet study hours. Apartments give students more independence and responsibility. Apartments offer private kitchens, multiple rooms and occasionally include balconies, swimming pools, exercise rooms and yards.

Location: Austin is the capital city of the state of Texas, is in the south central part of the United States. With a population of about one million people, Austin is commonly ranked as one of the safest and best places to live in America. Nearly half of Austin's adults have a college degree, which makes it the third-most educated city in the USA. Austin is well known for its great weather, live music, high-tech industries and excellent universities such as the University of Texas, Concordia University and St. Edwards University.
