The University of Central Oklahoma: An Affordable Option: The University of Central Oklahoma is committed to internationalizing our campus. As a result, we keep costs low for international students. The cost of living in Oklahoma, the lower tuition, insurance, free medical benefits under the school insurance program, free public transportation, free recreational facilities, and ease of travel make UCO a perfect choice. In addition, plentiful on-campus jobs give students some extra spending money while gaining experiences that will help them in their future careers.

UCO's Office of International Student Services awards several scholarships twice a year to students who display outstanding academic achievement and / or leadership ability in on-campus organizations. Students may apply after completing one semester at UCO.

UCO Student Life and Facilities: Students find a caring and sharing environment at the University of Central Oklahoma. With more than 200 student organizations (including 17 international student organizations), and approximately 100 countries represented on campus, there is something for everybody. The International Student Staff is always accessible for students, taking care of international students from the moment they apply, to the day they graduate. A unique mentorship program pairs a new international student with a more experienced one. International students can choose to meet a family that will adopt them while they are at UCO, and perhaps develop a lifetime relationship.

Thanks to UCO's unique insurance program, all on-campus medical procedures are free. International students will be pleasantly surprised to see a full-time physician on campus as well as three qualified nurses, a pharmacy and many other facilities. The modern wellness center includes two basketball / volleyball courts, weight and cardiovascular training equipment. The beautiful, park-like campus has numerous dormitories, eating facilities, and new apartment-style housing units. Many excellent off-campus housing units are available within walking distance of campus.

Location: The University of Central Oklahoma is located in Edmond, considered by many to be Oklahoma's Crown Jewel community. Edmond is one of the state's most desired places to live with its thriving historic downtown, excellent school system and fantastic cultural offerings. Sports and Recreation: The city has become famous worldwide for its outstanding international rowing Regattas, golf courses, and tennis events.
