Intensive English Institute Programs

The Intensive English Program is for anyone who wants to join other students in small group classes. After you have taken a placement exam, you will be placed in one of four levels: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced or TOEFL Preparatory. Each level consists of four classes: grammar, reading / vocabulary, writing, and conversation. TOEFL Preparation focuses on each of the four sections of the iBT test: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Completing an entire level requires 16 weeks of study.

Your learning experience will have many forms. We use the very latest and the most reliable textbooks and software available today. IEI teachers are very experienced with lesson planning, and are ready to help you with any questions you may have. Your work in the classroom will be supplemented with occasional educational field trips within the Houston metropolitan area.

IEI's Private Tutors

If you have special needs, we can arrange for you to meet with a teacher on a one-to-one basis. We will help you plan a program of study that fits both your schedule and the tutor's schedule. We can also provide the materials that you need for your tutoring lessons. Possible needs for private tutoring include:
