Resolve to Act on Solid Stats

Two tiny bits of data can very well advance your international student recruitment efforts in 2013:

1. Only 18 percent of the world's 2.2 billion internet users currently speak English as a native language. According to the Web Globalization Report Card 2012, even if you support the top ten languages, you still only reach 72 percent of all users. Suggested resolution: Get multi-lingual with USjournal.

2. The average ratio of applications per U.S. admission officer rose from 359 in 2005 to 662 in 2011. (Source: ICEF Monitor) Suggested resolution: Learn more about how FundsV improves the efficiency and integrity of proving financial capacity of prospective students.

FundsV Developments

We recognize the value of empowering prospective students to verify their funding sources earlier in the admissions process. We also know campus budgets are tight. So we've decided to eliminate the set-up fees for host campuses to register at FundsV, for a limited time. Review the proposal, and send the completed document to cheryl@FundsV.com (We're also happy to schedule and online demo at your convenience.)

Cross Promotions

The Institute of International Education (IIE) is pleased to announce its Spring 2013 Higher Education Fair Series, including fairs in Vietnam and the first-ever series in Latin America. This fair series, developed in partnership with the EducationUSA advising network in Brazil and Chile, is specially designed to recruit Latin American students interested in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields.

Since 1982, IIE's Higher Education Fairs have served as effective, trustworthy platforms for accredited institutions to connect with serious students and build their brand around the world. Colleges and universities interact face-to-face with thousands of qualified students, expand academic exchanges by partnering with local institutions, and network with local governmental officials, U.S. Consulate and Embassy staff.
